Bisque firing

20121203-091916.jpgThis morning, the latest bisque load should be cooling down. This was a lighter load including the shaving mugs, some coffee mugs and a number of broad, flab bowls and casseroles. This will probably be the last load before Christmas.

Update: The firing completed on schedule, around 3:15am. It’s currently cooled to 625°F, and everything looks normal. It’s interesting to see the firing times creeping up just a few minutes each time. It’s either the elements or the thermocouples or both, but it’s fairly consistent. I take that to be a good sign.
