The most recent results are sitting out on the work bench in the studio. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the new ware. In this firing was the beginning of a series of reference tea cups showing glaze combinations. I’m planning to expand the series and they will be retained in the studio for reference and decoration.
The pedestal collander had a trim dip of gloss white over the blue rutile. It’s interesting to note that in one area, the band slid down into the bowl! That’s a new one on me. It’s an interesting effect, though I don’t think I’ll try repeating it.
The blue rutile worked really nicely on the #266.
