The teapots pour, and they’re not drippy either. The kiln opening was a lot of fun this morning. While it was a small load, it had some fun pieces, including the three teapots I mentioned earlier. Also, this was the first load to be photographed in the new lightbox. It’s better, but still needs work. (Suggestions welcomed.) The full set of images are on flickr. One in particular made me happy, so I’ll post it here.
In this set, I included a standard Orton Self-supporting cone from the firing to show (a) scale, and (b) firing results. That’s a ∆5witness cone – looks like we should have held for a couple more minutes.
