This morning, I turned on the kiln and started a bisque firing. It contains one large vase, 3 fairly good sized tiles, a bunch of mugs and cups and bowls and some little things. This firing is going to cone 05, and had a 4 hour pre-heat to make sure everything was nice and dry. A couple pieces thrown last weekend looked pretty dry, but I wasn’t totally convinced. I should be able to open late tomorrow or Monday morning.
