While the second kiln load is glaze firining, I took photos of the first load. These pieces and many more like them will be available during the BBQ Festival on the Neuse. We will have a booth in the Arts Market, housed in the Ellis building on the corner of Herritage and Blount. Stop by and say hello.
Here are some of my favorite items from this firing…
I like them all and I love, love, love the mug with the rich dark brown glaze over the white? Great job and good luck at the show….
Thanks very much. I like the mug, too. Hard to pack it for the show 😉
wonderful! Hey, can I ask what camera you use for your photos? I only have my Samsung S4 mobile phone camera, so I’m wondering if I need to invest in a proper camera one day?
I use a Nikon D90 with a short zoom lenses, usually around 100mm for most shots. I also adjust the white balance to match my lights. That’s pretty important for getting the colors close. I don’t think you have to have a DSLR to get good images. I have a little Canon point and shoot that does really well too.
